Foxies Bakeshop started with up two sisters who had a passion for creating gourmet baked stuffed cookies and desserts. First selling only exclusively online, they decided it was time to open their first physical location in Toronto, Canada. Together with Leventhal-Vermaat Interior Design, I created the logos, packaging templates, that would follow through to the interior design of the boutique shop.

Working together with Re:Generate Design on this new offering of indulgent Private Selection family of Nut Butters, I created a design showcasing the delicious product on the spoon draws attention to the chunks of yummy goodness inside.

Hatch specializes in the art of cold brew coffee. They know what separates ordinary cold brew from the not-so-ordinary is an appreciation for subtlety and craftsmanship. Adapting this process to the art of cold brew teas was only a matter of time. Working together with the Hatch team we concluded that the packaging needed to have a strong presence of it's own apart from the coffee line while still holding true to the nature of the overall brand. I achieved this by creating original illustrations for each sku in a playful/contemporary style that is in line with the flavour profiles.

The Pelican Pub is a new english style restaurant located in the Caribbean coastal village playa Chiquita in Costa Rica. Hands down the best food and pints! I was tasked with creating an english style, but modern, pelican eating a fish that could work as as a sign, icon, drink coasters and be a beacon to hungry thirsty travellers in Costa Rica.

The Reddi Wip Barista series targets coffee drinkers who are looking for a coffee house experience at home. The design uses the entire can to create a strong brand experience on pack with coffee house cues, striking imagery and a dark matte background. Rich imagery not only builds an elevated tone, but it also clearly communicates what the product is and how it can be used – clarity that is important for this new innovation to drive trial. The premium, simple design creates disruption through its deep color palette and matte finish, drawing consumer eyes from behind closed refrigerator doors.

For many generations the mountains in the Boruca region of Costa Rica have been a fertile source for growing coffee the old fashioned way; picked by hand and dried by the sun. This region is also home to the indigenous Boruca people who are known for their ornately carved, painted wooden masks featuring animal spirits of the jungle to ward off the evil spirits. I created an iconic illustrated style for the masks to pay homage for the people of the region while making it easy to print as a one colour stamp. The logo word mark I created incorporates the feeling of the jungle and the lovely breezes through the mountains. 

Café Granados

General Mills shows it’s support for our very talented Canadian athletes as we get ready for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. Working together with Mosaic, we created these designs for Cheerios, Honey Nut Cheerios, Multigrain Cheerios, as well as Lucky Charms and Cinnamon Toast Crunch to showcase the talents of the athletes front and centre of the pack. The Canadian leaf is also dominantly displayed across the bottom which creates a strong shelf blocking.

Soon to be a live restaurant location located in Lake Nona Florida, Veg’n Out creates healthy food that is tasty and easy-to-order, pickup and eat when you are on-the-go. Working with the client directly, I created the brand from the ground up with the client’s input including the logo, stationery, packaging and overall brand essence. I also created the website where Veg’n Out customers can easily order juice cleanses and other item for delivery right to their door.

Neophyto Foods uses food science ingenuity to make plant-based versions of your favourite foods, never compromising on taste, texture, or sustainability. I helped them create their brand from the ground up starting with the Neophyto brandmark logo. This is the first commercial package we created to sell their plant based meat kit. Showing the versatility and variety of foods that can be created with this product, this packaging stands out and will convert even the hardened meat eater to give it a try.

Ecoco is a Costa Rican company responsible for producing natural, high quality and beneficial health products derived from coconut. Their production processes are sustainable with the environment. I was asked to help them refresh their brand to take them to the next level in distribution internationally.

2017 is Canada's 150th Birthday and what better way to celebrate than with a commemorative retrospective Pepsi can and bottle design which embodies that very spirit. I created this exploratory range of design ideas which span the entire range of Pepsi's iconic/historic time periods while incorporating our country's current birthday messaging.

Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica, is one of the most sought after and surfed beaches. It is home to weekly pro competitions and international championship events.

Smartfood is the pioneer in flavoured popcorn. With the introduction of new delicious flavours, Smartfood needed a more modern take on the original look consumers know and love. Working together with Shikatani Lacroix we created a refreshed design introducing photography, the new flavours deliver on appetite/flavour appeal allowing Smartfood to grow it's portfolio in the premium snacking category.

Pepsi teamed up with Snapchat to create a fun summer interactive promotional experience through the app which lets people express what it means to be Canadian. Using the illustrations provided by Pepsi, working together with SLD we created a balanced link from the ad campaign to the in store packaging and displays.

Kraft decided to expand their Singles line to incorporate a more premium cheese flavour offering. I created this range of concepts to incorporate flavour/ingredient appeal with a Bold wordmark to grab attention and create a strong shelf presence.

When the World Cup of Hockey 2016 took place in Toronto Canada, Pepsi approached Shikatani Lacroix to create a series of collector cans that would embody the spirit of each country participating in the tournament. Working with Shikatani Lacroix, I developed a range of ideas for research from evolutionary to revolutionary while still keeping within the Pepsi brand personality.

Bald Baker is new startup company that is revolutionizing the dessert industry by producing mouthwatering, sugar conscious, health-forward treats.  I was asked to help with the overall identity, branding and packaging as well as the physical presence in signage they embody when displaying their treats at various trade shows across Ontario.

Hatch beverages asked me to help them create a line extension of their already successful cold brew line of bottles to a shelf stable offering in convenient cans. I achieved this by using a geometric style which invokes the flavour profile of each offering. Pure, honest coffee. Cold crafted by Hatch.

Doritos has gone 3D! The packaging exploration concepts I created each showcase the new chip format which allows for maximum flavour to be packed into every bite. The concepts range from graffiti to gaming to fit into the cool factor of the youthful demographic.

McCain Foods was looking to expand their portfolio to encompass a new category in the warm snacking sector. Working with Shikatani Lacroix, I came up with these concepts to help in the design development stage for the new packaging in research.

The winning flavours by popular vote are narrowed down to these three delicious flavours. Miss Vickies is a proud Canadian brand that started it's journey in 1985 with the first batch of super crunchy kettle cooked chips. With this refresh of the packaging, there was a need to be modern while staying close to the roots of the brand. This is achieved by updating the Miss Vickie's font treatment and bib frills to reflect flavour differentiation and appeal. The design is further enhanced with the use of appealing photography, background texture and font treatment. With this reimagining of the packaging Miss Vickie's is enjoying continuing growth and relevance in the premium snack sector.

Twistos Baked Snacks have taken the opportunity to refresh their packaging across the line with the addition of new Garden Thins. New photography, word marks and subtle cues were created to breathe life into each family of products. This allows each line to showcase their own essence of fun personality while still being recognizable in the Twistos family.

Branding and website for a new restaurant in Port Carling serving only the best food with the freshest ingredients. The logo encapsulates the spirit of the Muskokas in Northern Ontario; warm bold and inviting.

Corona Extra was looking to create a collector series to increase sales and awareness of the brand through the summer. A series of 9 bottles each with a graphic interpretation of the "This is My Beach" theme was the result. These collector series bottles were very successful and allowed Corona to create a fun campaign around the theme.

Alterna Savings needed an “un-scary” way to advertise their very competitive mortgage rates. These un-scary monsters were the joint collaboration of Emma Roberts and myself. They certainly get the point across while being scary/engaging/funny at the same time.

Alterna Savings with the redesign of their line of Visa cards, needed to find an interesting engaging way to promote the new look. This campaign was realized to introduce them in a fun and illustrative way using icons to make a bigger picture that describes visually the benefits of the specific card.

Alterna Savings was in need of a refresh of their line of Visa cards. Working together with Uncommon Marketing Strategies we came up with a line of cards that feel fresh and current while embodying each individual cards’ personality.

Shoppers Drug Mart was in need of a revitalization and repositioning of it's Life Brand products. I created the new logo so that it will enhance the new design systems throughout all products and merchandise. I updated the font to be more friendly, modern and approachable. It's job is to give a stamp of quality and be something the consumer will look for, identify with and trust.

This brand new facility located in Brampton Ontario, Century Gardens is the favourite place for local youth and adults alike to meet up, work out, swim and play. I used the architecture and interesting design elements to enhance the way-finding signage for all aspects of what this centre has to offer.  Together with bold bright colours and interesting shapes, the centre feels welcoming, friendly and easy to navigate.

Mott's Fruitsations needed to compete in the kids health snack category with the introduction of the squeeze pouch. New Apple characters "Mac" and "Tosha" were created along with their complete backstory to interact with elements in the design which kids can relate to. Canadian Blood Services has a new fleet of mobile blood donor vehicles and needed a very visible yet approachable graphic to clearly identify itself. I incorporated all of the blood types into a flowing, uplifting design to help elevate the perception of donating blood to help people who need it.

TD Bank received a fresh new environment across all of their bank locations. Working side by side with the retail designers at Shikatani Lacroix, we created an inviting friendly atmosphere where "Banking can be this comfortable" holds true to it's word.

In the heart of Costa Rica's Central Pacific, Caliche's Wishbone is a culinary destination for local surfers and tourists alike. With the new addition of a wood fired oven, it was only fair to let the masses know of the magnificent pizza goodness happening there. My job was to create some awareness of this in the form of new signage and an update of the overall logo, identity and menu alike.

Located in a small surfing town in Esterillos Oeste, Costa Rica, Restaurant Los Almendros is a prime dining destination for tourists and locals alike. The new logo and supporting material showcasing the tropical Beach Almond Tree in an illustrative way reflects the friendly and relaxed atmosphere of the establishment. The bright colours also pay homage to their menu featuring Caribbean and Asian food.

Pepsi wanted to communicate strongly that this particular case was made to fit in the fridge and that there are 8 cans inside. This same communication would ultimately need to be incorporated into the packaging of Diet Pepsi, and as well as the 7up carton to tie them all together. The design I created was very simple to read and utilizes three panels to create an “iceberg” on the corner of the carton.
